Susan Lynn Drummer Gannon

Susan Drummer Gannon, 78, of Easton, Maryland, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2026. Born on May 5, 1947, in Grasonville, Maryland, Susan was raised in the community she always held close to her heart. She dedicated over 30 years of her life to caring for children as the owner of a home daycare, where she became a trusted and beloved presence for countless families. Her nurturing spirit, patience, and kindness left a lasting impact on all who knew her. Susan found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved gardening, reading, cross-stitch and crocheting, often creating with her hands and heart. She especially cherished decorating for Christmas and hosting family dinners and gatherings, creating warm and lasting memories for those she loved. In the past year, she attended Easton Church of God, where she found comfort in her faith and community. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Susan shared 54 loving years of marriage with her husband, David M. Gannon, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Irvin O. Drummer, Sr. and Irene Evans Drummer; her grandson, Connor J. Patchett; and her nephew, Jason M. Drummer. Susan is lovingly remembered by her three daughters: Rachel Himelright (Rob), Martha Patchett (Leonard), and Sarah Gannon (Delajuwon Taylor). She was a proud and treasured Nana to Abby Patchett, Zaviun Taylor, and Bishop Taylor. She is also survived by her siblings: Marion Drummer of Satsuma, Florida; Cynthia Mason (Jack) of Easton, Maryland; Irvin O. “Skip” Drummer Jr. (Cathy) of Sebastian, Florida; and J. Eric Drummer (Ruth) of Millsboro, Delaware as well as beloved nieces and nephews: David Stringer; Bart Stringer; JoAnn Stringer; Henry Stringer; Brandon Mason; Joshua Mason; Irvin O. “Trey” Drummer, III; Jonathan Drummer, Kristen Alvis and Lindsay Moore. Susan’s legacy is one of love, devotion, and quiet strength. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. A service will be held on April 14, 2026 at the Easton Church of God in Easton, MD at 11 AM. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10 AM to 11 AM. Burial will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Easton, MD.
