Stacey Marie Hall

Stacey Marie Stoughton Hall died on March 18, 2018, at The Adler Center in Aldie, VA, at the age of 50 after a courageous and valiant battle against metastatic breast cancer. Stacey was born on January 18, 1968. Her parents, Donald M. Stoughton and Donna (Pulling) Stoughton, as well as a sister, Marsha Ballou Holst, predeceased her. Stacey is survived by her stepmother, Barbara Stoughton (Myrtle Beach, SC); a sister, Susan Ballou Wiles and her husband Ken (Lake Wales, FL); stepsister, Jennifer Delaney (Myrtle Beach, SC); stepbrother, Charles Delaney and his wife Rachel (Longs, SC); stepbrother, Wayne Stoughton and his wife Tracy (Westfield, NY); as well as several nieces and nephews. Stacey graduated in 1986 from Fayetteville-Manlius High School (NY), from Wheaton College (MA) in 1990, and she received a Master’s Degree in Public Communications from American University in 1994. Stacey was loyal to her upstate New York roots but found much happiness and professional fulfillment living in Virginia and the Washington, DC, area for most of her adult life. In 1996, Stacey married Roland C. Hall in Chatham, MA. Although their marriage ended in divorce, their strong friendship endured. For the past several years, Stacey shared her life with Wayne Windsor of Sterling, VA. Stacey had much affection for Wayne’s daughter, Lauren Windsor. Stacey will be remembered fondly by her family and many friends not only for her wit and keen intellect, but for her genuine enthusiasm for life, her sense of adventure, and for her indelible strength. She had an impressive knowledge and appreciation for fine food, wine, and cocktails, and she was always beautifully dressed and impeccably groomed. Stacey was cherished by her Wheaton College classmates. She was happiest near a beach, and she especially loved the cats in her life, Chester, Dodger, Mocha, Sebastian, Tori, and Eva. Stacey was loved deeply by many and she will be missed tremendously by all. A memorial service to celebrate Stacey’s life will be held on April 14, 2019, at 1 p.m. at the Community Church in Ashburn, VA. A second service will be held at a later date in Cole Memorial Chapel, Wheaton College, Norton, MA. Interment of Stacey’s ashes will be at the Virgil Rural Cemetery, Virgil, NY. Stacey’s friends and family would like to thank Capital Caring and The Adler Center for Hospice and Palliative Care for their extraordinary care and kindness during Stacey’s last days.
