Robert Edward Morelli

Robert “Bob” Edward Morelli passed away at the age of 66 on January 5th, 2026, in Annapolis, Maryland. He was born on April 10th, 1959, in Suffolk County, New York, son to the late Horace and Betty Morelli. Bob is survived by his loving wife Renee K. Morelli. Renee and Bob met as neighbors in Severn, MD, and eventually wed on November 23rd, 1990. Bob was first known as the neighbor who always had candy in hand, generously giving to his neighbors and their children. The generosity extended to Renee when he proposed to her with a box of cracker jacks, and the ring being the prize. From the beginning and throughout their entire marriage and parenthood together, Bob was a provider. Bob is also survived by his 6 dear siblings, Charles “Chick”, Rick, Steve, Lois, Carol (passed in 2025), and Terry (passed in 2013). Bob and his siblings were very close, and after the passing of his parents he stepped into the role of a father figure for them. They were constantly joking and pranking each other as they all had similar witty humor. Bob is also survived by his loving daughter, Anna and 3 beloved grandchildren, Katelyn who he only referred to as “Peanut”, Madison, and Morgan. Bob was preceded in death by his son who meant the whole world to him- Robert Morelli “the boy”. When Robert left us a piece of Bob went with him, and we hope he can now find that peace with his son. Bob grew up in Carlsbad, New Mexico. He graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1977. After high school, he proudly served in the United States Army for four years. His working life consisted of traveling nearly the entire world for his role in telecommunications engineering. He lived to work and provide, showing his constant appreciation as president of the Cloverfields Community for 21 years up until the very day he passed. Bob cherished his family deeply. Whenever he returned from overseas, he always made sure to have a gift for his son Robert and his granddaughter Katelyn. He loved his little dogs and enjoyed taking care of his dear companions: Scruffy, Muffin, Shane, Lucy, Chow Chow, Zoey, Mischief, and Mia. Bob will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him, and his family will never forget the most selfless man he was.
