Dr. Michael G. Judd

Dr. Michael Gordon Judd passed away at his home in Easton on Wednesday, July 30, 2014. He was 42 years old. Born in Houston, Texas on August 4, 1971 Dr. Judd spent his early childhood in Houston and Wellesley, Massachusetts. His later childhood and teenage years were spent in Baltimore. After completing medical school and residency he resided in Easton with his wife and three children for 12 years. He was educated at the Gilman School in Baltimore; Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York; Ross University School of Medicine in Edison, New Jersey; and the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He was a Diplomat of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as a Fellow of The American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He had additional training and expertise in pelvic ultrasound and robotic assisted pelvic surgery. He was the founding partner of Chesapeake Women’s Health in Easton & Cambridge. He also was formerly the chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Memorial Hospital in Easton as well the Medical Director of the hospital’s birthing center. Dr. Judd enjoyed many activities such as jogging, tennis, skiing, camping, carpentry, being at the beach and had a love for boating on the Chesapeake. He planned many vacations and adventures for his family because most of all he treasured the time he had with them. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Jill; and their three children, Tyler, Lily and Emma Rose. He is also survived by his mother, Ms. Lenna Gordon; his sister, Valerie Carlton; his father, Dr. Kenneth Judd; and his stepmother, Mildred Judd of Easton. Michael was a kind, thoughtful, generous and skilled physician and surgeon who cared deeply for the welfare of his patients. He had an incredible bedside manner that allowed him to connect with his patients with an unusual amount of compassion. He was an amazing loving husband, father, brother, son and friend to all that knew him. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed. A Celebration of Life service honoring Michael will be held on August 19, 2014 at 5:30 pm at the point at Tred Avon Yacht Club in Oxford.
