Margaret "Margie" Harrison

Margaret V. Harrison, loving wife, and mother of five children, passed away at the age of 58 on Saturday, February 6, 2021. Margie (Margaret) was born on April 20, 1962, in Riverhead, NY, to Bob and Ann Vojvoda. She was a 1980 graduate of St. Michaels High School and married her high school sweetheart, David Harrison. Margie worked at St. Michaels Bank prior to raising her children, Laura Chance (Jason), Cassie Harrison, David Harrison, Jr. (Candace), Justin Harrison (Moriah) and Amber Higgins (Steve). Margie had a lifelong passion for bowling and was a constant presence at the Easton Bowling Center on Tuesday nights where she participated in the Chesapeake Pioneers League. She learned her love of the game from her parents Bob and Ann, and her sister, Sibby. Margie and Dave spent many days on the bay together crabbing and fishing. She loved flowers, hummingbirds (or her hummers as she called them), and dancing. She loved (and sometimes hated) her Baltimore Ravens, and if there was a game on, you can bet that she was watching (and cussing). When it was ball season, you could also always find her in the bleachers cheering on her grandchildren. Margie was preceded in death by her father, Robert Vojvoda, and mother-in-law, Janice Harrison. Along with her husband, David, and her five children, Margie is survived by her mother, Ann Vojvoda; 13 beautiful grandchildren: Ben, Natalie, Ziola, Layla, Serenity, Ransom, Evelyn, Lucas, Faye, Tiberius, Brooke, Grayson & Delilah; sisters, Sibby Penny (George) and Ruth Capranica (Steve); brother, Robert Vojvoda (Stephanie); father-in-law, Jerry Harrison (Kay); sisters-in-law, Terri Fisher (David) and Amy Phocas (John); many nieces and nephews; AND her boisterous, fun-loving bowling family. A visitation will be offered on Sunday, February 28, 2021, from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, 200 S. Harrison Street in Easton. The family will hold a private memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you consider a donation to the St. Michaels Fire Department - 1001 S. Talbot Street, St. Michaels, MD 21663, or a charity of your own choosing.
