Beverly Jean Logan

Beverly Jean Logan of Marydel, MD, died Saturday, April 27, 2013, at her home in Marydel. She was 74. Beverly J. Logan was born January 28, 1939, the daughter of the late, Valdemere Noyes and Neva Craigo. She was a 1957 graduate of Bladensburg High School. She went to work briefly for Commercial Credit before getting married on January 23, 1959, to her late husband, Richard Ross Logan. The two began their family and Mrs. Logan stayed at home to raise the children. After the kids were older, she went back into the workforce where she worked for Arlin’s Department Store, then Koon’s Ford as a clerk, and eventually she got a job at the courthouse in Annapolis where she worked from 1978-1999. She was a member of Crumpton United Methodist Church, and her interests included quilting, crafting, going to tractor pulls with her husband, watching her grandchildren play sports, going on the boat, playing on the internet. She was known for her love of holidays and anniversaries. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Ross Logan; one brother, Bernard Noyes; and one sister, Juanita Noyes who died shortly after birth. Mrs. Logan is survived by one son, Mike Logan and Barbara of Sudlersville, MD; one daughter, Debbie Logan of Ridgely, MD; five grandchildren, Becki Whitlock and significant other Jim Lockwood of Cuba, NY, Stephanie Lombardo of Cordova, MD, Ashley Lombardo of Glen Burnie, MD, Michael Logan, Jr., of Annapolis, MD, and Andrew Logan of Knoxville, TN; two great-grandchildren, Jennifer Stockett of Glen Burnie, MD, and Jakob Stockett of Cuba, NY; one great-grandchild on the way; one brother, James Noyes of Seabring, FL; two sisters, Patricia LeDroux and husband, Bud of Seabring, FL, and Sandra Warfield of Seabring, FL; and her dog, Dr. Phil. A visitation will be held Thursday, May 2, 2013, from 9am to 11am, and then from 6pm to 8pm at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, 370 Cypress St., Millington, MD. Services will be held on Friday, May 3, 2013, at 10am also at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Sudlersville Cemetery in Sudlersville, MD.
