Beverly Ann Beever

Beverly Ann Beever, 50, of Chester, MD, passed away suddenly on September 21, 2015, from complications brought on by lupus at Anne Arundel Medical Center, surrounded by her family and friends. Born on February 22, 1965, to the late Luther Jones and Blanche Sellman Jones of Glen Burnie, where she grew up. Beverly graduated with the Class of 1982 at Glen Burnie Senior High School where she was enrolled in the nursing program. Beverly married John William Beever III, also of Glen Burnie, in 1984. She first worked at North Arundel Hospital as a nursing assistant while they lived in Baltimore. Shortly thereafter, the two began growing their family to include three children, Jessica, Johnny and Jenna. The family moved to Chester in 1995, and Beverly began to work as a pharmacy technician at Kmart. Beverly enjoyed shopping for bargains at thrift stores, going to the beach, eating crabs, spending time with family, and cuddling with her newest puppy, Pippi. She also enjoyed attending Kent Island United Methodist Church and was involved in many church activities. She was a member of Celebrate Recovery and the Bereaved Parents GriefShare programs. She is survived by her husband, John William Beever III; daughter, Jessica Pounds and her husband Jonathan of Burleson, TX.; daughter, Jenna Beever of Chester who is attending Liberty University; mother, Blanche Jones of Glen Burnie; brother, Joseph Jones and his family of Centreville; mother-in-law, Ann Beever of Glen Burnie; brother-in-law Kevin Beever and his family of Pasadena; brother-in-law Mark Beever and his family of Glen Burnie; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by her son, John William Beever IV; her father, Luther Jones; her brother, Bruce Jones; her father-in-law, John Beever Jr.; and her nephew, David Schell Jr. Visitations will be held on Thursday, September 24, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm and on Friday, September 25 from 11am – 12 pm at the Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, P.A. in Chester, MD. A private interment will be held at Stevensville Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26 at 11 am at Kent Island United Methodist Church in Chester, MD.
