September 19, 2007 - December 27, 2021
Adrienne “Addi” Lynn Engelmeyer, 14, of Stevensville passed away unexpectedly on December 27, 2021. She was born on September 19, 2007 the daughter of William and Dawnya-Marie Sealing Engelmeyer and sister to Nathan Engelmeyer. Addi was extraordinary. She had a uniqueness that only she could define. She was our “little pumpkin’”. Addi had a creative side that was amazing, and her talents extended to painting, drawing, music, and writing. Addi loved nature. Being a member of the local scouts troop brought her much joy where she eagerly awaited the next hiking or camping trip. Addi rarely passed up an opportunity to fish, she would sit with her pole for hours, never discouraged. She loved Asheville, NC, and after a single visit, seeing the mountains, and the eclectic downtown, she felt connected and often discussed moving there to attend college. Addi loved game nights with the family but also enjoyed having her own online gaming time as well. We still hear her infectious laughter and colorful language with friends online. Addi had a brilliant mind and loved to read and learn. Her creativity and intellect combined in her love of fantasy. Each year for her birthday, Addi was excited to visit the MD Renaissance Festival with her friends. Addi enjoyed shopping and dressing in her renaissance clothes and looked forward to the day she could work at the shops there. Addi loved to debate and fight for what she felt was right. She had a dry sense of humor and could deliver a one-liner like few people can. Her wit would occasionally surprise us as a family in her persistence to antagonize her older brother, Nathan. Addi was a deep thinker so it wasn’t too surprising that during her admissions interview for high school she said that she would have liked to have met Aristotle. Addi enjoyed fall sports. She joined the local recreational field hockey team and found herself being a great defender. During the school year Addi enjoyed being a member of the school’s volleyball club. Addi was Addi. She is deeply loved, and she loved all of us. Adrienne is survived by her parents, her brother Nathan, her grandparents; Edward and Alice Sealing, Donna-Lee Evans David Evans, William and Marjorie Engelmeyer, and her great grandmother Elizabeth Petersen, her aunts; Christine Sealing, Cassie Sealing, Lisa (Mark) Zimmerman, Patricia Evans, her uncle Edward (Erika) Sealing, her cousins; Ava Zimmerman, Matthew Zimmerman, Sophia Zimmerman, Edward “Trip” Sealing, and Elijah Sealing. A visitation will be held on Thursday January 6, 2022 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Fellows Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, 106 Shamrock Road Chester MD 21619, funeral services will take place on Saturday January 8, 2022 at 12:00PM at St. Christopher’s Catholic Church, Chester MD.
