William Henry Boston

William Henry Boston August 23, 1953 – April 10, 2026 William was born August 23, 1953, to the late Elijah and Katie Boston. He peacefully passed away April 10, 2026, at the age of 72 at 9:17pm at Denton Nursing and Rehab. Mr. William H. Boston was lovingly known as “Boogie” by family members, friends and loved ones. William was raised in Bridgeton and Port Norris, NJ. William attended the Bridgeton School system and graduated from Millville High School. William worked as a chef in many areas such as Wildwood, NJ, Cape May, NJ, Atlantic City, NJ, and Philadelphia, PA. In later years William’s health started to fail. In 2014 he moved to live with his daughter upon the declination of his health. William loved music, dancing, taking walks and watching westerns. He loved to laugh and was always telling jokes and stories about his life. He loved people especially his daughter Kimberley, he would always greet her with a big smile and say, “That’s my baby girl!” A note from his passage from daughter Kimberley Wilson: On April 10, 2026, after leaving dad at 3:55pm, Nurse Alex reached out at 9:40pm to let me know dad has passed. We had recently moved dad from another nursing home to Denton Nursing and Rehab. During the day of his passing dad was in great spirits, he was awake and alert all day, the nurses had him up and about in a chair. Dad watched his me and his great grandson, noticing everyone that passed by his room eager to greet them he waved with each passerby. Dad let me know in ways he was going to be leaving us soon, he did some things I had never seen before. He stopped speaking but kept his smile, he saluted me and I returned the salute. We laughed but he knew. As the day went on the nurses got him settled back into bed to rest, we stayed a while talking to him while his eyes were closed. Before leaving I I spoke to him we love you, I gave him a kiss on the forehead as I did every other time we would leave him. I knew at that moment he was leaving as he did not look up; He was at peace. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Clemsetine Patterson, and a brother, Elijah Boston, Jr. William leaves behind a legacy of loved ones and cherished memories. He is survived by one brother, Aaron Young, three children, DeAndre Redding (Monique), Kimberley Redding Wilson (Rudolph) and Tyree Gibbson, a niece and a nephew Jackie Ferguson and Stacy Boston as well as a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, distant nieces, nephews and cousins, and a large group of loving friends. At his request no services are to be held. 2 Timothy 4-7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful.
