Theresa Marie Field

Theresa Marie Field of Centreville, MD passed away on February 12th 2016 in Centreville Md. She was 37 years young. Theresa was born on July 17, 1978 in Chicago, IL. Theresa attended Queen Anne’s County High School, graduating in 1996. After graduating from high school, Theresa attended Fleet Business School, graduating in 1998. Theresa has worked in the real-estate business with Long and Foster, the Maryland court system in Annapolis, Big Bats Cafe and Fisherman's Inn. Theresa loved her family, friends and community. She was a dedicated mom, partner and friend. She was known for always creating beauty in everything she touched—whether it was the way she dressed herself or her children, or creating a calm nurturing home for her family, and was amazing at planning talk-of-the-town birthday parties for her children. She always made sure the each child was involved in scouts, sports, and the other activities that would guide them, and nurture their individual interests. As such they have already grown into strong, positive self-sufficient human beings—amazing at their young ages—which is a lasting testament to the incredible mother Theresa will continue to be for them forever. After learning she had cancer in March of 2015, Theresa devoted her life even more to her children and her own healing. People who did not know would never have seen the struggles she was undergoing, as her cheerful spirit and unstoppable smile and willingness to give to others barely changed. She enjoyed every minute of having her wonderful aunt, Alice, there with her and cherished each moment with her children, taking special trips to the beach and a cottage on the Chesapeake to spend time with her favorite things: Family and these wonderful bodies of water around which she grew up. Theresa impacted the lives of many, and her infectious smile brought joy and hope to those she knew well as well as those she only met once through her work as a waitress and bartender. She was known for her fun-loving sense of humor and served others as a kind, caring friend. Theresa is survived by her loving fiancé, Ryan Whitten, of Centreville, MD; her Aunt, Alice Josselyn; children: Gabriella Field, Wyatt Field and Alexander Whitten; step-children Jennah Whitten and Hailey Whitten; and brothers Davy Josselyn of Annapolis, MD and Kevin Josselyn of Denton, MD. Preceding Theresa in death were her mother, Susan Berumen, and grandparents George and Alice Meiklejohn. A Celebration of Theresa’s Life will be held at 11:00 am on February 20th at the Wye Bible Church in Grasonville, MD.
