Theresa L Casamento

Theresa L Casamento of Rehoboth Beach, DE, passed away on September 14, 2023. She was 91 years old. Born on August 21, 1932, in Weedville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Mary DeLullo. She is predeceased by her husband, John P. Casamento; son, Michael A. Casamento; siblings, Ester Ross, Rose Eiber, Angelina Distefano, Catherine Meyer, Ann Wildnauer, Joseph DeLullo, Grace Kriegish, and Ralph DeLullo. Theresa is survived by her daughters, Sandra Casamento Romeo (Richard Romeo), Mary Casamento (Albert Poelvoorde) and Ann Casamento; her grandchildren, Gina Romeo Venturella, Michael Buendia, Deanna Romeo Hamilton, Andrea Romeo Liberto, Courtney Belew, John Garner Casamento; her great grandchildren, Dominic Venturella, Allie Hamilton, Rocco Venturella, Vinny Venturella, Brooks Hamilton, Eleanor Belew, Gianni Liberto, Cal Hamilton and Sonny Liberto, and her sister, Virginia Kunes. Theresa was one of 10 children, which taught her many things but most importantly Theresa learned about the importance of family and what that means. She spent her entire life always placing family first. There was never an instance that if a family member was in need, that she did not answer the call. Theresa was a wonderful wife, an amazing mother, grandmother and great grandmother to each and every one of her family members. She doted on all of them and was so proud and loved each unconditionally. She was completely selfless, incredibly giving, loving, accepting of everyone. She enjoyed being with her huge extended family. She was also a wonderful baker and cook. She loved to walk on the boardwalk with her husband John, play cards and the Mexican train game with the ladies. She was excellent at tole painting. In her younger days, she loved to go to dances with her hubby and dance the night away at the Knights of Columbus and St. Bernard’s. She also did volunteer work at the Children's Beach House and St. Vincent De Paul in Lewes, DE. There is not a day that will go by that everyone who knew her will not feel the void she has left.
