Teena Margaret Beadles

Teena Margaret Beadles 82, peacefully passed away to be with the Lord at her home March 25, 2026. Born February 9, 1944 in Lubbock, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Charles Sam “Smitty” Smith and Jessie Margaret Blank. On December 19, 1964 she married the love of her life, Billy Odell Beadles. Teena grew up in Littlefield, Texas. She graduated from Littlefield High School in 1962. After graduation, she attended Texas Tech University. Teena would go on to work at the Lubbock County Courthouse. She would next work for IBM as a computer programmer, which would lead her to her next job at Hall’s Foundry while still working for IBM. Teena also did the accounting and books for her family business Beadles Body Shop. In 1998 she found a special work family with Weight Watchers. There she was a Receptionist, Leader, Local Coordinator Ambassador, and Leader Coach. Teena received Leader of the Year numerous times. She worked there until moving to MD in 2016. She continued working for WW leading meetings at varies locations in the area and was an online coach for WW Chat program. In 2019, Teena retired. Teena was a long-time member of Lakeridge Methodist Church in Lubbock. There she was involved in the choir, women’s bell choir, lead several Bible Study groups, and was part of women’s and couples Sunday School classes. Teena was also a wedding coordinator for the church. She was involved with the Emmaus Community. From 1992-2002 she was part of a music trio With One Heart. After moving to Stevensville, she became a member of the Kent Island Methodist Church. Teena was active in the KIMC Women’s Group, Grief Share, and the Butterfly Release. Her favorite thing was her three grandchildren. Watching them play sports, being here to be apart of celebrating their accomplishments with them, and family time. She was a huge Texas Tech fan and loved watching all Texas Tech sports especially football and basketball long with KC Chiefs. Teena is survived by her daughter DeEtte Beadles Hines (Trey) Grandchildren Graces Hines, Georgia Hines, and Jackson Hines, 13 nieces and nephews and many grand nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she predeceased by her husband Billy Odell Beadles, her stepfather Pete Shultz, several sister and brother in laws , nieces, and her cousin William Webb. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 18 at 3pm at Fellows Helfenbein and Newman Funeral Home in Chester 106 Shamrock Road Chester MD 21619. A later date will be announced for a memorial service in Lubbock, Texas. In lieu of flowers please donate to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
