Tara Foxwell

Tara Anne Foxwell, 38, died on Friday, May 6, 2011. Born on July 5, 1972, she was the daughter of Charles Wright “Buddy” Foxwell, Jr. and the late Margaret-Anne Tyler. She graduated from Cambridge South Dorchester High School in 1990, and then attended Salisbury State University. In 1992, she enlisted in the United States Army, serving our country until 1995. She then attended Chesapeake Community College and managed several Eastern Shore restaurants before finding her dream job as the Catering Coordinator with Gourmet By The Bay. Tara loved her cats, her work as a catering coordinator, movies, and, most recently, cooking. She worked tirelessly to support the fight against Breast Cancer in her mother’s memory, including running in the National Breast Cancer Marathon in Jacksonville, FL with her sister and nephew for the past three years (a race in which she was already registered to participate in 2012), and serving on the Mother-Son Dance Committee for the Talbot Hospice Festival of Trees. Known as “Auntie”, she loved her niece and nephews, and attended as many of their sporting events as possible. Her infectious smile, bubbly personality, kindness and generosity will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her father, Charles W. “Buddy” Foxwell, Jr.; her siblings, Alisha Saulsbury (Jeff), Shane Foxwell and his fiancée, Tina Dayton, and Skyler Foxwell; her grandfather, Charles Wright Foxwell, Sr.; her nephews Lucas Saulsbury and Tucker Saulsbury; her niece and Goddaughter, Karli Jean Saulsbury; and her special friends, Sidney Davenport-Trond (Jim) and their new daughter, Keeley Elizabeth Trond and Louie Massey (Will) and their children: Hunter, Tyler, who was also Tara’s Godson, and Parker Massey. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church on Friday, May 13, 2011, where friends may call on Thursday, May 12, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. Burial will follow at Oxford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Tara’s memory may be made to Susan G. Komen For A Cure, PO Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265-0309.
