Sandra Greene Crouch

Sandra Greene Crouch, 83 of Chester, Maryland died at Compass Regional Hospice Center on June 19, 2025, after a long illness. Sandra was born at Providence Hospital in Washington, D.C. on October 23, 1941, to Henry T. Greene and M. Louise (Beecher) Greene. Sandra graduated from the Centreville High School Class of 1959. She also graduated from the Goldey Beacom School of Business. Sandra attended the National Bible Institute and graduated from the Ministerial Internship Program in 1995. Sandra married the love of her life, Thomas R. (Jackie) Crouch on March 23, 1962. They made their home in Fort Carson, Colorado until they returned to Maryland’s Eastern Shore where they resided in Chester. Sandra was very active in her walk with God and during her dash in this life, she served in many positions. She became the Grasonville Church of God Treasurer in 1981 and served for 25 years. She was also the Treasurer for the Ladies Ministries and Women’s Aglow. Mom loved to teach and share the Word of God and throughout her lifetime had the opportunity to teach the Adult Sunday School Class, led Children’s Church, was the FTH Vice President, Sunday School Secretary, Church Historian, Prayer Leader and was the first Women Church Trustee for the Church. Sandra loved to volunteer and served at the Kent Island Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary for five years. Here she made new friends and soon found herself volunteering for Compass Closet (formerly Estate Treasurers). She was quite pleased when she received her 15-year volunteer pin. She thoroughly enjoyed working there and meeting new people. She was an honorary member of the Chester Church of God and soon found herself teaching the Adult Sunday School class and enjoyed every minute of it. She founded the Lively Stones prayer group line and would lead the prayer faithfully when able. Sandra was affectionately known as MeMom and was adored and loved by her family and friends. She especially loved going to the beach, peanut butter ice cream and was an avid Words with Friends player. MeMom loved and cherished spending time with her grandchildren and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her brother, Joe Wright (Helen) her three children, Tamera C. Wilson. (Keith), Thomas R. Crouch, II (Bonnie), M. Jennifer Molnar (Pete). Eight Grandchildren, Samantha Sterling (Jason), Peter J. Molnar, III (Taylor), Christian Wilson (Danielle), Rebecca Molnar (Zane), Jackie Zagami (Joe), Brianna Boydstun (Benjamin), Katie Crouch (Drew), Steve Granger, and her great grandchild, Scarlett Sterling. She also leaves behind her beloved cat, Buttons. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas R. (Jackie) Crouch, and brothers Henry T. Greene and Mark E. Wright. A funeral service will be held at Fellows Helfenbein Newman Funeral Home in Centreville on Thursday, June 26 at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 25 where friends and family may visit from 5-7 pm and 10 am on Thursday. Burial will follow the service at Chesterfield Cemetery, Centreville, MD. The following will serve as Pall Bearers; Steve Granger, Christian Wilson, Benjamin Boydstun, Peter Molnar, III, Zane Perry, Pete Molnar, Jr. and honorary, Keith Wilson. In lieu of flowers, please consider as a memorial, a donation to Compass Hospice Center, 255 Comet Drive, Centreville and/or Chesapeake Cats and Dogs, 326 Wye Mills Road, Queenstown.
