Rosina Baleta Reed

Rosina Baleta Reed of Chestertown, MD, had a zest and love for life that didn't come to an end with her death. Rosina passed away on January 10, 2023, at the age of 58, surrounded by her immediate family who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest. She was born on July 13, 1964, at Kent Queen Anne's Hospital, Chestertown, MD, to Rosie B. Reed and the late Roosevelt H. Reed, Sr., Rosina was a lifelong member of Aaron Chapel United Methodist Church in Rock Hall, MD. She was a graduate of Kent County High School. Rosina worked in a public service capacity at Kane Miller Core, Con Agra, and Pizza Hut, she was a manager at Roy Rogers, Burger King, and Chester River Manor, where she worked for over 15 years. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Rosina. She loved staying in the loop of the younger children. She had an uncanny ability to find happiness in her daily activities of spending time with her grandchildren. She loved puzzles and soap operas, especially General Hospital. Rosina loved taking rides with the family and talking on the phone to her twin Regina every day. Her pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met, she was known as “Mom” to many of the family and friends. In addition to her father Roosevelt H. Reed, Sr., she was preceded in death by a sister, Rhoda B. Reed, and a brother, Reginald H. Reed. She leaves to mourn, her mother Rosie B. Reed; a son, Darryl Warner, Jr. (Caitlyn); a daughter, Roshina Warner (Morgan); four grandchildren, Shi’ann Williams, Santiago Scott, Marino Scott and Hendrix Warner; three brothers, Roosevelt H. Reed. Jr., Robert H. Reed, and Ronald H. Reed; and three sisters, Roberta B. Reed, Roxanne B. Reed (Dwayne), and twin sister Regina B. Reed (Gregory); an uncle, James “Bally” Thompson; a special niece, Kylina Thomas; close friends of the family, Darryl Warner, Sr. and Mary “Cookie” Padillio;" along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Services will be held on Tuesday, January 17 at 12 p.m. at Fellows, Helfenbein, and Newnam Funeral Home in Chestertown. A visitation will be held two hours prior, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment to follow in Jane’s Cemetery.
