Rosemarie Regina Hemsley

Rosemarie Regina Hemsley, age 92, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones in her home on Wye Island in Queenstown, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, Rosemarie lived a life defined by devotion—to her family, her community, and the many causes she held close to her heart. She was deeply involved in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, finding her greatest joy in family gatherings and time spent together. Rosemarie was a licensed real estate professional who successfully managed multiple properties over the years. Beyond her professional life, she was passionately committed to service and volunteerism. She supported and fundraised for numerous organizations, including United Cerebral Palsy and the Franklin County Therapeutic Riding Center, and generously volunteered at Corpus Christi Catholic School. Her dedication and compassion left a lasting impact on all of who knew her. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Tilghman “Bill” Hemsley III, her daughter, Julie Kegerreis; her granddaughter, Ellie Kegerreis; her father, Ncholas Esposito; her mother, Hilda Esposito; her sister, Teresa Merson; and her brothers, Nicholas “Nicky” Esposito and Bernie “Mitchy” Esposito. She is survived by her daughters, Rosemarie McNew and Susan Rotz (Ed); her son, William Tilghman Hemsley IV (Laura); her brothers Joseph “Joey” Esposito, Paul “Chops” Esposito, and Frankie Esposito; her 11 grandchildren; and many cherished great-grandchildren. Services will be held on Saturday, February 21, at 11 am at Old Wye Church, 14114 Old Wye Mills Road, Wye Mills, MD 21679. A reception will follow at 425 Wye Island Road, Queenstown, MD 21658.
