Ronald Wayne Pyle Sr.

Ronald Wayne Pyle, Sr. of Millington, MD, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE surrounded by his family. He was 82. Born on March 10, 1944, in Dover, Delaware, he was the son of the late Joseph Burton Pyle and the late Mary Elizabeth Edwards Mazko. He was employed by Chrysler for 33 years, having worked multiple positions while there. After his short retirement, he became an owner/operator of a school bus for Queen Anne’s County for 20 years before retiring his last time. He joined the Millington Volunteer Fire Company in 1964 and was a Life Member. During that time, he held the positions of President, Treasurer and Chief Engineer, and he helped organize the Kent County Fire Police Association. He was also an honorary member of Sudlersville Volunteer Fire Company. In 1964 he also married his wife of 61 years, Virginia Mae Supers Pyle. When his children were young, Wayne also coached Little League and Pony League Baseball for a number of years. Later in his life he enjoyed taking his 1968 Plymouth Sport Satellite to car shows (winning several trophies), having a cold Coors Light and playing card with his friends at the Firehouse. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Lizzy and one sister, Lana Davenport. He is survived by his wife, Virginia “Ginny” Pyle, his daughter Donna Ogle (John), and his son Wayne Pyle, Jr. (April), both of Sudlersville, MD., Siblings Linda Beaver (Carl) of Centreville, MD, Glenn Pyle (Linda) of Millington, MD, Janice Pierce of Smyrna, DE, Jo Jo Wilson of Centreville, MD, Dhea Rattray of Crumpton, MD. Grandchildren Eric Crossley (Amanda) of Millington, MD, Gregory Crossley (Jordyn) of Galena, MD, Jordan Draper (Rudy) of Millington, MD and Brooke Payton (Nate) of Georgetown, DE. Great Grandchildren Rudy Draper, Kingston Crossley, Millie Payton and Rowan Draper, step great grandchildren Wyatt and Stella Payton. He had a brother-like cousin, Gene Wiest of Millington, MD., a special friend, Barb Wallace of Sudlersville, MD. and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 29th from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at Fellows Family Funeral Home, 370 Cypress St., Millington, MD. Services will begin at 2:00 pm and interment will follow at Sudlersville Cemetery.
