Ronald Berry Sr.

Ronald Paul Berry, Sr., of Betterton, Md. died Sunday June 30, 2002 at his residence. He was 50. Born June 24, 1952 in Ashland , Ohio he was the son of the late Fredrick Paul Berry, step father Norman “Sully” Sullivan and Nell Jo (Perry) Sullivan. Mr. Berry attended Bohemia Manner High School and was a graduate of the class of 1970. In 1995 he graduated Phi Theta Kappa from Chesapeake College. Furthering his education he graduated with a bachelors degree with merit scholarship from Washington College in 1997. He served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam War. Ronald was a member of the Worton United Methodist Church, serving as Lay Leader. He was very dedicated to both the Crossroads and Whittset Center. He was also an avid member of the Harley Owners Group. Ronald enjoyed Harley Davidson Motorcycles, working in his self- built shop, “he fixed and built everything and anything”, he enjoyed gardening, raising his chickens, spending time outdoors fishing and hunting. Most of all he devoted his time to his family. Ronald Berry is survived by his wife Jean Louise Berry, who he married the Saturday after Thanksgiving in 1991. Five children; Ronald Paul Berry, Jr., of Chestertown, Md., Sarah Jean Berry of Pottstown, Pa., Adam Fredrick Berry of Earlville, Md., Colin Louis Stone of Betterton, Md., and Tristan Markham Stone of Betterton, Md. He is also survived by two brothers; Edward Mark Sullivan of Rock Hall, Md., and Michael Douglas Sullivan of Port Ritchie, Fl. two sisters; P. Jody Schwalbuck of New Castle, DE and Sarah Lee Hienfelt of Rock Hall, Md. and Grandmother Nora “Granny” Perry of Bethany Beach, De. Family will receive friends at the Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home 130 Speer Road, Chestertown, Md. on Tuesday July 2, 2002 from 6 pm until 8pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday July 3, 2002 at 12:30 pm at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Worton United Methodist Cemetery, Worton, Md..
