Pearl Virginia Goss

Pearl Virginia Goss went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 10, 2011 at Hospice of Queen Anne’s, Inc. She was 90. Pearl was born June 24, 1921 in Mexico, PA the daughter of the late William Barr & Iva Myrtle Cupp Norris. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Christopher Goss and two daughters, Bonnie Sue Goss and Evelyn “Faye” Presbury. She is survived by two daughters, Virginia Martin of Centreville and Kay Kelkowski and her husband, Joey, of Queenstown; and seven grandchildren, Bonney Legg and her husband, Gene Legg of Chestertown, Mike Martin and his wife, Karen, of Centreville, Steve Martin and his wife, Tina, of Henderson, Kevin Martin and his wife, Wendy, of Centreville, Karen Ann Kelkowski and her significant other, Jimmy Stubbs, of Greensboro, Shane Kelkowski and his wife, Crystal, of Ingleside, and Billy Presbury of Upper Marlboro. She is also survived by twenty great grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren Her favorite pastimes included visiting the Amish country in Pennsylvania, fishing, collecting any and all things involved with Indians, socializing with her friends at Tilghman Terrace, and spending most of her time with her daughters having dinner together and ending the evening taking a car ride to look for animals. She loved animals of all kinds and would spend most days just watching them for hours on end and spending as much time as she could with her beloved cat “Bambi”. Before her husband’s passing they spent all of their time together putting together puzzles, making wooden yard ornaments, feeding the squirrels, fishing, and relaxing in their recliners watching movies with their pets by their side. Until we meet again mom-mom, we all know you will be waiting for us with your M & M cookies, homemade bread, and you will never stop telling us “Come back when you can stay longer.” Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 13 at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, in Centreville, MD. Burial will be at Chesterfield Cemetery, Centreville, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Queen Anne’s, Inc., 255 Comet Drive, Centreville, MD 21617.
