Paul E. Moore

Paul (Pop) Edward Moore, 79, was born June 9, 1941, and passed away on Friday December 18, 2020, in Easton, MD. Paul was a loved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend. He was the founder of P.E. Moore and Sons Construction and took great pride in working with his sons and grandsons, as the business is now a third generation run company. He was particularly proud of the family’s efforts to revitalize downtown Trappe, especially the construction of the ‘Moore Building’ built in 2008. Paul was a member of the Bay Country Region Antique Car Club. He took great enjoyment in his antique cars, trucks, and tractors. Paul was a 35-year member of the Trappe Lions Club, Past President, and Recipient of the Melvin Jones Award. He took great pride in recruiting new members into the club including his two sons, Eddie and Jonathan, as well as his grandson, Brad. Paul was also a member of The Easton Church of God. Paul was preceded in death by the love of his life, Shelby Jean Moore. Paul and Shelby were married June 1, 1969. In addition, he was preceded by his mother, Virginia Yeatmen; father, John M. Moore; his brothers, William Moore, John H. Moore, James and Samuel Fisher; and his sister, Virginia Phillippe. Paul is survived by his loving children: sons, Walter Taylor (Rosemary), Edward Moore (Jennifer), and Jonathan Moore (Summer); daughter; Sherri Taylor; grandchildren, Jason Moore, Bradley Moore, Shelby Moore, Gracie Moore, Paul J. Moore, Emily Moore, Christopher Asmussen, Samantha Petersen, Kyle Taylor, Brittney Taylor, Tabitha Taylor, Courtney Taylor, Kelsey Taylor, Austin Taylor; and several great-grandchildren. Serving as Pallbearers will be Jason Moore, Bradley Moore, Paul J. Moore, Alan Eigenbrode, Grant Phillippe, and Shawn Moore. Service will be held at 11AM at on December 21, 2020, at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, 200 S. Harrison Street, Easton, MD 21601, where friends may call one hour prior. Burial will be held at White Marsh Cemetery in Trappe MD. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to the Trappe Lions Club, P.O. Box 427, Trappe, MD 21673.
