Patricia Ann Covey

Patricia Warner Covey (Pat), 90, of Easton, MD entered eternal rest, leaving this world to be with loved ones who have gone before her on Monday, January 5th, 2026 in Easton. She was born on February 15, 1935 in Easton, MD to Edward and Ethel Warner. Pat graduated from Easton high school in 1953- where she was a celebrated forward on the basketball team and was actively involved in the fieldball and Glee Club. This is also where she met- and dated- her future husband, Jim. Pat started her life with Jim in the Army and a short time in Texas before moving back home to Easton, Maryland. Pat was a dedicated member of the Queenstown Bank team for 25 years working her way from teller to branch manager; always enjoying interactions with her customers. Over the years, classmates, customers, and family members alike recall Pat’s inviting smile and her good-natured spirit, always willing to be a part of the fun. She had a rare gift for making people feel at ease. Pat married James Franklin Covey (Jim) in April 1954 and they celebrated 64 years of marriage before he preceded her in death. Pat and Jim had 2 children- Timothy Franklin Covey and Kimberly Covey Goslin. Pat was not just a great mother but was considered a best friend to her daughter. After retirement Pat enjoyed reading, traveling to Florida during the cold months, word-searches, finding any excuse for a good beach getaway in Rehobeth beach DE, celebrating holidays & soaking up family time- excelling in her active role as the cherished Mommom Pat. She especially delighted in Christmas celebrations, and you could always see a twinkle in her eye during that season. If you knew Pat, she had a passion for shopping and finding the perfect treasure or gift was her love language. She was active in the St. Mark’s UMC family, also working in the church’s thrift shop with her sister, Edwina (Lee) Royer, for several years. Her memory lives on in her daughter Kimberly Covey Goslin (Tim), daughter-in-law Margaret Covey, granddaughter Krystal Covey, grandson Benjamin Goslin, and sister Edwina Lee Royer who will all miss her dearly. Preceded in Death: Pat was preceded in death by her husband James Covey, son Timothy Covey, grandson Derek Covey, sister Joann Eason and parents Edward and Ethel Warner. Services: Visitation will be Wednesday, January 14th, 2026 from 10-12 am at Fellows Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home in Easton, MD with services held immediately after. Interment at Woodlawn cemetery in Easton. Memorial Contributions: In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Mark’s Church are appreciated.
