Pamela Huntley Coll

Pamela Huntley Coll, age 76, of Chestertown, Maryland, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026, after courageously battling myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) for many years with remarkable strength, grace, and resilience. She is survived by her devoted husband, Dr. Jaime Coll, whom she affectionately called her "half orange." Their marriage was one of unwavering love, friendship, and partnership; they shared a beautiful life and did nearly everything together. In addition, she is survived by her daughters, Carol DiGiammarino (Frank) and Jennifer Lyons (Sean); her 7 grandchildren: Catherine, Maya, Joseph, Ellie, Jackson, William, and Lyla; and her husband’s children, MaryJo Coll (John), Jaime Coll, Jr. (Diane), and Ben Coll (Brittany). Pamela is also survived by her beloved sister, Shelagh Grasso (Carmen). Living just down the road from one another allowed them to share countless meals, holidays, celebrations, and everyday moments together. Their close bond was one of Pamela's greatest blessings. She is further survived by her nephews, Christopher Grasso (Bernadette), and their daughter, Abigail; and Phillip Grasso (Laura), and their daughters, Elizabeth and Olivia. For 28 years, Pamela worked as a medical transcriptionist for West Jersey Hospital in Voorhees, New Jersey (now Virtua Health). She took great pride in her work and in the role she played supporting physicians and patient care. Pamela had an extraordinary gift for making a house feel like a home. A talented self-taught interior designer, she could transform any room into a warm and welcoming space. She loved gardening, taking sunset cruises on the Chester River with her family, and creating beautiful memories with the people she loved most. She will be remembered for her kindness, beauty, generosity, her infectious sense of humor, and her unwavering love for her family. She had a gentle spirit, a warm smile, and a remarkable ability to make everyone around her feel comfortable and cared for. Her legacy lives on in the love she gave so freely and in the countless lives she touched. In lieu of flowers, Pamela requested that memorial donations be made to the MDS Foundation in support of research and patients living with myelodysplastic syndromes.
