Mary Elizabeth Walls

Mary Elizabeth Walls of Chestertown, Maryland died December 1, 2006 at Chester River Hospital Center in Chestertown, Maryland. She was 70. Born in Ridgely, Maryland on September 14, 1936, she was the daughter of the late, James W. and Mary Virginia Royer Jones. She graduated from Ridgely High School and married Thomas Robert Clough. Mr. Clough died in 1986. On September 13, 1997 she married Bill Walls, Sr. Mrs. Walls worked with Tidewater Publishing for 15 years, Chester River Hospital Center, Great Oak, and most recently with her husband, Bill in their retail seafood business. She was a member of Double Creek United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling, and truly loved her family. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children and step children, Jay and Cindy Clough of Chestertown, MD, Tony and Tammy Clough of Rock Hall, MD, Tommy and Becky Towers of Seaford, DE, Francis Redmiles of Webster, MA, Adam and Annette Walls of Chestertown, MD, Bill and Deanna Walls of Chestertown, MD, and Beth and Mike Selinger of Annapolis, MD; brothers, James Jones of Seattle, WA, Wayne Jones of Virginia Beach, VA, and Wesley Jones of New Mexico; sisters, Carolyn Swain of Greensboro, MD and Henrietta Smith of Clayton, DE; 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, she is also survived by her caregiver and best friend, Suzy Ford of Millington, MD. She was predeceased by two sisters, Lela Ann Arbeene and Emma Middleton; a nephew, Brian Howland, and a grandson, Keith Towers. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, P.A., 130 Speer Road, Chestertown, MD where relatives and friends may call on Monday, December 4, 2006 between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 5, 2006 one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Church Hill Cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers are Butch Bramble, Pete Ramirez, Greg Towers, Jay Clough, Tony Clough, Bobby Clough, Adam Walls, and Bill Walls, Jr. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Crumpton Volunteer Fire Department, P.O.
