Mary Rebecca Dulin Sharp

Mary Rebecca (Becky) Dulin Sharp died July 15, 2018, at Candlelight Cove in Easton, MD, at the age of 94. She was born on “Love Farm” near Cordova, MD, on November 8, 1923. She was the daughter of the late Omer and Pauline Councell Dulin. After graduating from Easton High School in 1941, she was employed at Shannahan and Wrightson Hardware Store as secretary to the late Emory Lednum. In 1942, she was secretary at J. McKenny Willis and Son until her marriage to William (Bill) E. Sharp, Jr,. in 1944. They were married for 70 years. Bill and Becky lived on Stock Range Farm in Longwoods for 50 years, and then moved to Easton on Windmill Rd. until they moved to Londonderry in 2007. In 2017, Becky moved to Candlelight Cove Assisted Living. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and “Aunt Beck” to her many nieces and nephews. She loved gardening, birdwatching, watching baseball and basketball. She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and a volunteer of the Junior Auxiliary of Memorial Hospital from 1966 to 2013. She had over 5000 hours of service with the auxiliary. Becky was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Sharp, Jr.; her parents, Omer Dulin Sr., and Pauline Councell Dulin,; her brother, Omer Dulin, Jr.; her son-in-law, Gary T. Dulin; and her step-grandson, Donald Corson, Jr. Becky is survived by her three daughters, Polly Carroll and her husband Winford, Dianne Dulin and Barbara Jean Corson and her husband, Don; three grandchildren, Alicia Summers and her husband, Donnie, Scott Dempsey and his wife Maria, and Bryan Dempsey and his wife Michelle; two step-granddaughters, Lisa Corson Ruggiero and her husband, Michael, and Lori Corson; three great-grandchildren, Jake, Nate and Angelina Dempsey; eight step-great-grandchildren, Nicholas Summers and Samuel Harris, Jaclyn and Donnie Corson, Michael, Brian and Jillian Ruggiero and Michelle Panzarino. Becky is also survived by her brothers, Robert (Bunky) Dulin and his wife, Joyce, and Donald Dulin, her sister, Ruth Winbourn and her sister-in-law, Marie Dulin, and many nieces, nephews, and friends who loved her dearly. A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Monday, July 23, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 1210 S. Washington St., Easton. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Becky’s memory to Sts. Peter & Paul Church, Family Life Center, 7906 Ocean Gateway, Easton, MD 21601 or Talbot Hospice, 586 Cynwood Dr., Easton, MD 21601. Burial will be private. A special thank you goes to Talbot Hospice, Brightstar, and Candlelight Cove for the excellent care given to our mother.
