Margaret Louise Scarbro

Margaret “Peggy” Louise Scarbro of Millington, MD, passed away at her home on Sunday, June 4, 2023. She was 74. Peggy was born January 3, 1949, in Washington, PA, the daughter of the late Louis R. Garrone and Delores J. Garrone. She was a 1966 graduate of Trinity High School in Washington, PA. Peggy went to work for RCA for a few years before going to cosmetology school. She worked as a beautician in PA for several years before attending electronics school and moving to Delaware in 1984 where she worked for WL Gore. In 1993, she married the love of her life, her late husband, Roy Scarbro, and in the same year moved to Millington and started her career at Lamotte Chemical. While working at Lamotte, she received her Bachelor's of Science degree from Kennedy Western University. Peggy retired from LaMotte in 2014. She enjoyed being in her home, spending time with her family, playing games on her phone, Kindle routing for the Pittsburgh Steelers, doing crossword puzzles, cooking, being in her pool, and watching Judge Judy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Scarbro; one son, Joseph “Bo” W. Adwell, Jr.; and two grandsons, Joseph Charles Adwell Southard and Anthony Jacob Scarbro. She is survived by her brother, Douglas Garrone (Mary) of Washington PA; her daughter, Christina Musser of New Castle, DE, and her children Nicole Dunkelberger (Casey) and their son Carson of Camden Wyoming, DE; and Jake Musser of Clayton, DE; daughter-in-law, Lisa Adwell of Newark, DE, and her daughter Kristen Temple and her son, Dominic, both of Newark; stepdaughter, Angela Welch (Eric) of Milford, DE, and their children, Kieran Pheasant, Ethan Pheasant and Ashlyn Welch all of Milford; stepson, Christopher Scarbro (Amy) of Newark and their children, Allanah Taylor (Dylan) of Phoenix, AZ, Alexcia Scarbro of Newark, Aiden Scarbro and Anderson Scarbro both of Newark; two nieces, Carla Ondrejko of Peters Township,PA, and Leslie Garrone of New Albany, OH; and one nephew, Jason Garrone of Washington, PA. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to the Susan G. Komen Foundation at www.komen.org.
