Louise Maury Cleary

Louise Maury Cleary of Centreville, MD died December 30, 2015 at Chester River Hospital Center in Chestertown, MD. She was 99. Born on November 6, 1916 in Philadelphia, PA the daughter of the late Matthew Fontaine Maury and Louise Marjorie Sanders. She graduated from the Agnes Irwin primary school and received her high school diploma from The Florida Out of Doors School. She married Richard Lloyd Willing, Sr. who predeceased her in 1948. Louise would later marry William Joseph Cleary of Philadelphia, PA. Mrs. Cleary worked as a model at Sak’s Fifth Ave in Philadelphia which evolved into her becoming a wholesaler in fashion. Mr. Cleary predeceased her in 1975. In the 1980’s she returned to school and received her Associate’s degree from Baltimore Community College, while working in Howard County as an addiction counselor. She was a member of Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in Centreville, MD and volunteered at the Chester River Hospital Center in Chestertown, MD and the Tuckahoe Pony Club. She is survived by her son, Robert James Willing, of Escondido, CA; daughter, Katharine Crook, of Centreville, MD; step-daughters, Retta Werner of Lewes, DE and Florence Marino, of Warminster, PA; thirteen grandchildren, Helen Louise Cleveland; Richard Lloyd Willing, III; Matthew Scot Willing; Nathanial Kent Willing; Shannan Maury Maggio; Elizabeth Katharine Crook; Jeffrey David Crook, Jr.; John William Crook; Paul Werner ; Robert Werner; Gary Werner; Glenn Werner and Francis Diehl; their families, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Richard Lloyd Willing, Jr. (2015) and a sister, Catherine Maury Daly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 4, 2016 at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in Centreville, MD. Burial will immediately follow at Chesterfield Cemetery in Centreville, MD. A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 3 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home 408 South Liberty Street Centreville, MD 21617.
