Kristi Lynn Grover

Kristi Lynn Grover, 63, passed away on April 26, 2025, in Easton, Maryland, surrounded by friends and family. Kristi was a devoted mother to Dani Sue Racine and Lucas Dean Walton who were the pride and joy of her life. She shared a very special bond with her grandson, Jackson Earl Racine. Her greatest joy was dedicating her last 18 months to caring for Jackson. She is also survived by her husband, Bart F. Grover; her son-in-law, Michael E. Racine; her sisters; Terri D. Gumm and Tara J. Schaffer; her Brother in-laws John J. Schaffer and Edward P. Becker; and her nephews and nieces; Daniel J. Stockton, Tina M. Stockton, Shannon J. Stockton, Tami M. Stockton, Jacob M. Stockton, C. Justin Stockton, Keri N. Stockton, Amber L. Schaffer, Brian J. Schaffer, and Kristen E. Schaffer. She was preceded in death by her parents; Sannah R. Stockton and Maurice J. Stockton; her aunt Judy A. Webster; her brothers Patrick J. Stockton and Donald J. Stockton; and her beloved nephew, Eric M. Gumm. Born on July 15, 1961, Kristi dedicated her life to understanding others and nurturing young minds. She earned an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Chesapeake College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from St. Mary’s College. Her academic and career paths reflected a deep commitment to positive human development and a deep compassion for all of humanity. A woman of spirituality, Kristi believed in a God who embraced all people equally. She lived out these beliefs through advocacy and offering compassion to those without a voice. Her love for animals was lifelong and led to many rescues over the years. She found her true solace in nature—among trees, streams, and skies. Kristi approached life with humility and wonder, always eager to learn more about the world we live in. Her authenticity and empathy were ever-present. Her legacy is one of light and kindness. As we remember Kristi, may we honor her memory by striving to “be the change we would like to see in the world.” May her spirit continue to inspire love, courage, and compassion in all who knew her. The family will be celebrating Kristi Grover with a cookout and bonfire at Calvert Beach in St. Leonard, Maryland on Saturday June 7th at 5 pm. Parking will be limited, so please carpool if possible.
