Karl Richard "Ricky" Kline

Karl Richard “Ricky” Kline aged 68, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Talbot Hospice in Easton. He fought a long hard battle with various medical issues over the last several years, including a recurrence of pancreatic cancer last year. Born in Baltimore on June 30, 1957, he spent his younger years growing up alongside his 7 brothers and sisters in Love Point on Kent Island, where the family settled in 1966. The family moved to Tunis Mills in 1969 where he spent his teenage years attending Easton High School. One of his first jobs was working as a painter under Timmy Fluharty who was his mentor and like a second father to him. After working for him for many years, he was told one day on a job site to try and walk on stilts that were using to hang drywall, mostly as a joke, but he was light on his feet and liked it; the rest was history. Having honed his skills as a professional painter he started his own business, Kline Interiors, where he worked until his retirement. He had a long and successful career and has been referred to as the best painter and drywall man around and took great pride in his work. In his spare time, he was an avid golfer, loved to travel, and spent many days shooting at the range with his brother Billy. He was always the life of the party, even when he stopped drinking; he had been sober for over 20 years. Ricky was preceded in death by his parents Doris and Louis Kline Jr.; his three brothers, Mark Kline, Louis Kline II and William “Billy” Kline; and his sister Susan Welch and her husband Blain Welch. He is survived by his two daughters; Amanda Kline of Hurlock and Ashley Diehl of Easton; his partner of over 10 years, Debbie Sinkule; along with her two sons Sammy Sinkule and Larry Sinkule; his seven grandchildren, Christopher Diehl, Michael Deville and Olivia Deville, Marlee Sinkule and Beau Sinkule, Ophelia Yanney and Felix Sinkule; one brother Kurt Kline; two sisters Debbie Lindsay and Beverly Ewing; and many nieces and nephews along with their children. A very special thank you to the CNAs at Talbot Hospice who took such great care of Ricky and his family during this difficult time. You ladies are the heart and soul of the facility. We could not have gotten through this without your support. There will be a Celebration of Life in his honor on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 2pm – 4pm at the Easton Volunteer Fire Department. Ricky chose to donate his body to science so there will be no funeral or burial. All family and friends are welcome. No formal attire, come as you are. If you will be in attendance, please bring your stories and any photos you have of him.
