Jayden Driss Oulahyane

Jayden Driss Oulahyane gained his angel wings on May 16, 2013. He was 6 years old. The beloved son of Karim and Kari (Hall) Oulahyane, Jay was born on October 3, 2006 in Annapolis and lived his entire life on Kent Island. He loved snuggling with his Mommy, watching sports with his Daddy, going to school at Kent Island Elementary, and spending time with his friends. Jay Jay led a life full of daily seizures, medical challenges, doctors’ visits, and therapies. But despite all of his physical limitations, Jay experienced more unconditional love in his 6 years, 7 months, and 13 days than most people do in a lifetime. Jay’s smile came from deep in his soul and could brighten the darkest of days. He was adored by his family, friends, teachers, therapists, and nurses. In addition to his parents, Jay is survived by maternal grandparents Don and Peggy Hall of Chester; paternal grandparents Driss Oulahyane and Zahra Moumeni of Morocco; Aunt Lori and Uncle Darin Aisquith of Annapolis; Uncle Matt Hall of Chester; Uncle Youssef and Aunt Melissia Oulahyane of Brandywine; Aunt Amal Oulahyane of Morocco; Aunt Nadia Oulahyane of Virginia; Uncle Amine Moumeni of Montgomery Village; Aunt Aicha Moumeni of Morocco; and cousins Kayla and Karly Aisquith, Whitney Lobianco, Yasmene Oulahyane, and Mohammed Almarzoug. Jay taught everyone who met him about the importance of unconditional love and acceptance. To honor his memory and continue to spread this love, the family requests that you perform a random act of kindness and ask them to “Jay” it forward – and do something kind for someone else. The family will be accepting visitors from 2-4pm and 6-8pm on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Fellows, Helfenbein, and Newnam 408 S. Liberty St. Centreville, MD 21617. The memorial service will be at 6pm on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at the same location.
