James Tyler Ewing

James Tyler Ewing, of Easton, Maryland departed his tired earthly body on November 8, 2024. He left this world to join his Lord and Savior in heaven. Born on April 21st, 1991 in Easton, he was the son of David Allen Ewing Sr. and Tamela (Hare) Ewing. James was the youngest of his father’s four children. James embodied many important roles in his lifetime. Along with being a loving son, cherished brother, and admired uncle, he had most recently become a husband to Caitlin Campion and a dad to a beautiful, blue-eyed baby girl, Erin Claire, born in February of this year. James was a classic Eastern Shoreman – he collected duck calls, and earned a collector’s license for firearms. He was a hunter, fisherman, and all-around outdoorsman. James enjoyed spending time at his farm in Caroline County where he spent countless hours with his German Shorthaired Pointer, Hank. He loved walking the woods and riding his UTV. When not at the farm, James kept himself busy as the owner of Ewing Property Management and Ewing Properties LLC. James also enjoyed many different hobbies including tinkering with puzzles, locks, and other miscellaneous projects. James was a lifetime fan of the Washington Capitals and grew up playing ice hockey for several teams including our hometown team, The Easton Ice Hawks. He also played on travel teams where he held positions of Captain and Assistant Captain. James proudly played for Saints Peter and Paul High School where he graduated in 2009. James was loved by many and had a smile that lit up a room. His quick-witted sense of humor kept those around him with sore ribs from laughing. He will be, and is already, missed beyond words. We find comfort in knowing James was greeted at heaven’s gates by his father, David, and that we will all be together again someday. “I read of a man who stood to speak at the funeral of a friend. But he said what mattered most of all was the dash between the years.” – L. Ellis A graveside service at Oxford Cemetery will be held on Saturday November 16, 2024, starting at 11am.
