James Morris Brady III

James Morris Brady III, of Glen Burnie, MD, formerly of Grasonville, MD, was born on October 25,1989; son of John Henry Gant, Jr, of Chestertown, MD, and Dorthea Dawn Gant, of Goldsboro, MD, and step-father, Gus Talley, Goldsboro, MD. He departed this life suddenly at the age of 26 on Friday, August 19, 2016, at University of Maryland Medical Center. James, fondly known as "Brady, Jimmy, or Redz" and to his mother as her "sweet baby boy" attended Kent Island High School, in Stevensville, MD, and later received his GED in 2006. James was an entrepreneur and was always looking for a new way to earn money and run a business. He wanted people to see the potential in themselves and sought out each with such determination to be led and to lead others. He loved encouraging his friends, family, and even strangers he would meet, to set goals, focus on them, and work hard to achieve them. His full-time job was a Sales Representative at Luna Floors, in which he took pride in that company for four years. Along the way, he met a strong and positive friend, which later turned into his mentor; Phil Gerdes. Outside of that, he started his own legacy, CEO of Brady Enterprise and Brady Holdings. In June, he became passionate about a company that he saw tremendous potential to take off successfully; UG Affiliates. He was ecstatic to share so much information and knowledge about this Sports App that was launching in September; as he reached over a thousand people worldwide. Outside of work, James loved to travel, and spend time with his family, girlfriend, and friends. He touched many lives, and showed many people that they can surpass hard times, and make a way for themselves with the right people in their life, and the right mindset. James was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord. He always kept a positive mind and attitude, and that was contagious no matter where he went. James had amazing goals that he set with Courtney, to travel to many more parts of the world and build a home for their future together. In addition to his parents, he is survived by girlfriend and the love of his life, Courtney Kennard of Glen Burnie, MD; a brother, John Henry Gant III, of Centreville, MD; a sister, Samantha Nice of Glen Burnie, MD; nephews, Mason Gant and Jeremiah Hill; and two nieces, Jocilyn Hill, Chester, MD, Andelynn Gant, Centreville, MD. James is preceded in death by his brother, Bruce Gant; uncle, Robert Benges; stepfather, Robert Nice; grandmother, Kathleen Sauers; and a great-grandmother, Dorthea Ferris. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016, at 11:00 AM ,at Kent Island Methodist Church, Chester, MD, where a viewing will be held on Friday, August 26, 2016, from 6-8:00 pm, and also one hour prior to service. Burial will follow the service at Stevensville Cemetery. Flower arrangements may be sent to Kent Island Methodist Church, 2739 Cox Neck Rd, Chester, MD, or memorial contributions may be made in his name to a charity of choice.
