Jackie Wayne Wyatt

Jackie Wayne Wyatt of Chestertown, MD, died Thursday, August 11, 2016, at University of Maryland Shore Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Chestertown. He was 68. He was born March 22, 1948, in Milford, DE, the son of the late Lawrence E. Wyatt and Maude V. “Bright” Wyatt. He met his wife of 44 years, Ann J. Trischler Wyatt, at the Box factory outside of the Oil City where the two worked together and in 1971. They were married that year. Mr. Wyatt also worked in a button factory and a juice factory, but his favorite job was training race horses for Pres Moore and Big Eddie Davis. He loved going to the harness track and betting on horses. He also loved fishing and crabbing, watching car racing and football. His favorite team was the Ravens. He also enjoyed John Wayne movies, westerns, and fresh homegrown tomato sandwiches. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Lawrence Victor Wyatt; five sisters, Frances Anna Lee Jackson, Sarah Elizabeth Fortney, Lois Claudette Billings, Patsy Gloria Smith, Shirley Ann Wyatt; and two brothers-in-law, Jack Billings and Jimmy Smith. He is survived by his wife, Ann J. Trischler Wyatt of Chestertown, MD; one sister, Janice Joyce Perry of Middletown, DE; one daughter, Carol Ann Fox of Chestertown, MD; one son, Jackie Wayne Wyatt II of Chestertown, MD; one stepdaughter, Jackie G. Nichols of Denton, MD; one son-in-law, Harold Nichols of Marydel, MD; two daughters-in-law, Linda Roe, Tammy Rose; two brothers-in-law, Robert Fortney of Marydel, DE, and Ronnie E. Perry of Smyrna, DE; four sisters-in-law, Lucy Wyatt of GA, Marlene Lynn of Tonopah, AZ, Darlene Trischler of Puerto Rico, Caroline LeRoy of Chicora, PA; five grandchildren, Nick Nichols of Camden, DE, Maria Nichols of Greensboro, MD, Jordan Rose, Starr Ann Wyatt, Skylar Wyatt all of Chestertown, MD; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at 11am, at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, 130 Speer Rd Chestertown, MD. Friends may call one hour prior.
