Edwin Alfree

Eddie N. Alfree of Crumpton, Maryland died on October 15, 2004 at his home. He was 25. Born on September 30, 1979 in Smyrna, Delaware, he was the son of Edwin W. Alfree, Jr. and Sandi Alfree of Snow Hill, MD and Mary Jane and Reese Collison of Crumpton, MD. He attended school in both Accomack County, VA and in Smyrna, DE. He was an excellent artist and his love of building and creating steered him into the construction industry where he worked with his father’s company Ed’s Painting and Construction, he also worked with Price Roofing in Ingleside, MD, Metal Masters in Smyrna, DE, and Clariant Master Batches in Millington, MD. Eddie was an excellent hunter and fisherman. He loved to bow hunt and fish for perch and catfish. He also enjoyed shooting pool. In addition to his parents and step parents he is survived by a daughter, Logan Paige Alfree of Chestertown, MD; a son, Gavin Richard Alfree of Rock Hall, MD; three step children, Christian, Tara, and Destinee Barns of Millington, MD; two sisters, Destiny Ann Elizabeth Guest of Chestertown, MD and Theresa Ann Alfree Proffitt of Bear, DE; a brother, Edwin Wilson Alfree III of Kenton, DE; his paternal grandparents, Edwin W. Alfree, Sr. and Grace Ann Alfree of Accomack County, VA; four step-brothers, Bradley Wayne and his wife, April Smythers of Accomack County, VA, Jerrad Ashley Smythers of Snow Hill, MD, Lee Collison and Michael Collison, both of Centerville, VA; three step sisters, Angel Megan Smythers of Snow Hill, MD, Tiffany Dobson and Tara Collison, both of Chestertown, MD; his fiancée, Angela Ruth of Rock Hall, MD; a special uncle, Randy Alfree of Accomack County, VA and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at 2:00 PM at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, P.A., 130 Speer Road, Chestertown, Maryland where relatives and friends may call one hour (1:00-2:00) prior to the service.
