Donna L. Graff

Donna Long Graff, beloved wife and mother, died on March 30, 2002. She was born on June 21, 1932, and was 69 at the time of her death. She was born in Tarentum, Pennsylvania and graduated from Tarentum High School in 1950. She married Robert Graff on October 21, 1950. She resided in Natrona Heights, PA until 1982, when she and her family moved to Kent Island, Maryland. Donna had many interests, hobbies and volunteer activities. While living in Pennsylvania, she was active in the Fawn Fire Department Auxiliary, the Pennsylvania Nature Conservancy, and the Burtner House Garden Club Restoration Association. She and her husband traveled internationally for business and pleasure. After moving to Kent Island, she and her husband became involved in the Kent Island Yacht Club. She volunteered for the Ladies of the Elks #2576, and was very active with the Anne Arundel Medical Center Auxiliary. She was known for her artistic talents including china nad oil painting abilities, and the time she spent giving art lessons to her friends. Donna was very generous of her time with her family and friends and out of state visitors who vacationed at her waterfront home. She was known to many as everyone’s friend and adopted mother and grandmother. Donna leaves behind many wonderful memories and will be remembered for her strong love of family, generous friendshilps, and sense of humor. Donna is survived by her husband of 51 years, Robert G. Graff of Chester; five children, Pamela Leah of State College, PA, Thomas Graff of Houston, TX, Robert Graff of Chester, MD, Michael Graff of Natrona Heights, PA and John Graff of Stevensville, MD; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Kathleen Gould and a brother, Robert Long. Services will be held 11:00AM on Wednesday, April 3, 2002 at St. Christopher’s Catholic Church, Chester. Family and friends may call at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, P.A., Chester on Tuesday, April 2, 2002 from 2PM till 4PM and 7PM till 9PM. Burial will be private.
