Donna L. Fletcher

Donna L. Fletcher of Chestertown, MD died on February 24, 2009 at her home. She was 49. She was born on February 27, 1959 in NJ and moved to Chestertown at the age of 13. She was the daughter of Clyde “Pic” Conley and Pat Renshaw of Chestertown, MD. Mrs. Fletcher graduated Kent County High School class of 1977. She attended both Washington College and Chesapeake College where she took Banking Courses. On July 5, 1980 she married Lenny Fletcher and they ran Fletchers Exxon before opening Colonial Chevrolet and Buick. Mrs. Fletcher and her husband owned and operated Colonial Chevrolet and Buick where she served as comptroller. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church in Fairlee, Chestertown Wildlife Exhibition and Sale Committee, and the Chester River Yacht and Country Club, where she also served on the Board. Mrs. Fletcher was also involved with the Special Olympics, the Christmas Shop at Kent and Queen Anne’s Hospital, Maryland New Car Dealers Association, the Historic House Tours, and the Kent County Community Marching Band. She enjoyed spending time with the family, her children, grandchildren and friends. She loved to follow her children’s sporting events at Kent County High School and Special Olympics. Mrs. Fletcher also enjoyed the beach, reading, and boating. In addition to her husband, Lenny, mother and father, she is survived by daughters Jayde Meikle and her husband Jamie of Worton, MD, Jennifer Fletcher of Chestertown, MD; sons Christopher Fletcher of Chestertown, MD and Jason Fletcher of Chestertown, MD; brother Billy Radford and his wife Karla of Smyrna, DE; two grandchildren Myles and Maddie; stepfather Clyde “Pic” Conley; and nieces Kayla and Sydney Radford. Funeral Services will be held on Friday February 27, 2009 at 11AM at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, 130 Speer Rd. Chestertown, MD where friends and family may call on Thursday February 26, 2009 from 5 ~ 8 PM and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Interment will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery.
