Charles Wesley Dulin

Charles Wesley Dulin of Chestertown, MD, passed away on February 23, 2016, at University of Maryland Shore Medical Center in Chestertown. He was 92. Born on October 22, 1923, in Easton, MD, he was the son of the late Carroll and Hazel Waldron Dulin. He graduated early from Chestertown High School and attended Washington College, where he earned a Bachelor's of Science degree. Mr. Dulin served in the U.S. Air Force, as a mechanic, and was honorably discharged in 1945. He later received a Master's Degree in Organic Chemistry, from University of Maryland in 1953 and went to work for Catalyst Research in Baltimore. Mr. Dulin returned to the Eastern Shore and worked with LaMotte Chemical Company for 35 years, until his retirement. Mr. Dulin loved Chestertown and enjoyed all the friendships he had made. He looked forward to meeting with his dear friends on a weekly basis. He was a member of the Chestertown Lion’s Club. Mr. Dulin had a lifelong passion for fishing, boating, crossword puzzles, and playing Gin Rummy. He leaves behind his two devoted sons, John Dulin, and his wife, Sharon of Raynham, MA, and Roger Noldon, and his wife, Lisa of Stewartstown, PA, and Pearl Ley Dulin, wife of his late son, Charles of Montclair, NJ. He was the loving grandfather to eight grandchildren, Shannon Maggio of Stevensville, Rachel Noldon of Stewartstown, PA, Hilary Dulin of Boston, MA, Tyler Noldon of York, PA, Haleigh Noldon of Stewartstown, PA, Nicole Dulin of Raynham, MA, Charlotte Dulin of Montclair, NJ, Jonathan Dulin of Montclair, NJ; and six great-grandchildren, Payton Maggio, Emma Maggio, Jonah Noldon, Landen Baumer, Addison Maggio and Elijah Noldon. Charles was the caring husband of his predeceased by his wife, Miriam Dulin, in 1991. He was the loving father to his late son, Charles W. Dulin. Mr. Dulin was the loving sibling to his late sister, Elizabeth Turner and a late brother, William E. Dulin. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 29, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, Chestertown, MD, where relatives and friends may call one hour prior (1- 2 p.m). Interment will be in Chester Cemetery, following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Heron Point, 501 E. Campus Avenue, Chestertown, MD 21620 or University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Chestertown, 100 Brown Street, Chestertown, MD 21620.
