Catherine Windsor

Catherine Abey Windsor of Grasonville, MD, formerly of Cambridge, MD, died Friday, August 6, 2004 at Memorial Hospital in Easton. She was 70. Born on December 28, 1933 in Easton, MD,she was the daughter of the late Joseph Olin Harrison, Jr. and Ottilie Spear Harrison. She was raised in Cambridge, MD and graduated from Cambridge High School, class of 1951. On July 7, 1951, she married George Melvin "Mickey" Abey of Secretary, MD. She raised her family in Grasonville, MD. She was predeceased by Mr. Abey in 1984. Later she married Sonny Windsor of Cambridge, MD. During her career, she worked for the State of Maryland in data processing and in recent years for the Pleasant Day Adult Day Care in Cambridge, MD. She was a member of the Immanuel United Methodist Church in Grasonville, MD, a former member of the Sisters of Knights of Pythias Winchester Lodge and a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Grasonville Volunteer Fire Company. Mrs. Windsor is survived by three daughters, Kathy Abey of Chestertown, MD, Josie Simons of Grasonville, MD and Chris Anderson of Queen Anne, MD; one brother, Joseph Harrison III of East New Market, MD; fifteen grandchildren, Shelly Crutchley of Sudlersville, MD, Mandy Stevens of Chester, MD, Mike Horney of Chestertown, MD, Casey Horney of Rockville, MD, Carrie Simons-Sparrow of Ridgely, MD, Jessie Stevens of Linkwood, MD, Chip Simons of Snow Hill, MD, Ryan Abey of Chestertown, MD, Christopher Anderson of Queen Anne, MD, Aaron Simons of Grasonville, MD, Cody Stevens of Linkwood, MD, Laura Anderson of Queen Anne, MD, Lindsay Anderson of Queen Anne, MD, Carley Simons of Grasonville, MD and Todd Anderson of Queen Anne, MD and eleven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Dollie Stevens. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 11, 2004 at 11AM in the Immanuel United Methodist Church, Grasonville, MD. Friends and family may call on Tuesday, August 10, 2004 from 7PM to 8PM at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, P. A., Chester, MD and Wednesday, August 11, 2004 from 10AM to 11AM at the church. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Easton, MD.
