Barbara Hebden Mason

Barbara Hebden Mason (81) of Ruthsburg, MD died in the presence of her family on Tuesday August 28, 2007. Born on July 18, 1926 in Baltimore, MD she was the daughter of the late Roland Hebden and Beatrice Nau Hebden. She was a graduate of Onancock High School in Virginia and a graduate of Strayers Business College in Baltimore. After her formal education she moved to Fairlee, MD with her family. She met and married William I. Mason, Sr. on December 6, 1947. They resided in Ruthsburg on the Mason Farm where she assisted her husband farming. Mrs. Mason enjoyed traveling, playing golf and bridge, gardening and reading. She was a member of the Ruthsburg Women''s Club, the Ruthsburg Community Club, and St. Paul''s Episcopal Church in Centreville, MD. She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years William I. Mason Sr. of Ruthsburg, MD, two daughters Carolyn M. MacGlashan and her husband Scott of Church Hill, MD and Joyce M. Jeswilkowski and her husband Charles of Pittsburgh, PA; two sons William I Mason, Jr. and his wife Susanne of Ruthsburg, MD and John "Jack" R. Mason and his wife Cynthia of Easton, MD and a brother John R. Hebden and his wife Barbara of Easton, Md, eight grand children Steven MacGlashan; David MacGlashan; Marcus MacGlashan; Amy J. Hastings;Chad Jeswilkowski; Katherine Mason; Brandon Mason and Joshua Mason; three great granddaughters; Alyssa; Ella and Victoria MacGlashan. A sister Marjorie Hebden predeceased her. A funeral service will be held 11AM on Saturday September 1, 2007 at St. Paul''s Episcopal Church in Centreville, MD. Interment will follow in Chesterfield Cemetery in Centreville, MD.
