Obituary For Ann Schauber Jacquette Ann Schauber Jacquette of Rock Hall, MD died Sunday, October 3, 2010 at Chester River Manor in Chestertown, MD. She was 85. Ann S. Jacquette was born July 14, 1925 in Chestertown, MD the daughter of the late Bradford Schauber and Frances “Myers” Schauber. Mrs. Jacquette helped raise her brother and three sisters while helping on her family dairy farm. Mrs. Jacquette was a 1944 graduate of Chestertown High School. After high school she delivered milk for her father, owner of Schauber’s Dairy. While delivering milk she met her husband James Warner Jacquette and the two were married in 1947. Mrs. Jacquette raised her four children and helped on the family farm. Later she and her husband owned and operated school buses for the Kent County Public School system where she drove for 30 years. Mrs. Jacquette was a devout and active member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Rock Hall and also helped with activities at her husband’s church, Wesley Chapel United Methodist. She enjoyed sewing, baking cakes, working in her garden, canning, playing cards and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one great grandchild, Luke Abbott. She is survived by her daughter, Betty Ann Strong and husband “Buffalo” of Chestertown, MD, her son, Jim Jacquette Jr. and wife Andrea of Rock Hall, MD, her daughter, Frances Rodney and husband George of Rock Hall, MD, and her son,,Gerald Jacquette and wife Nita of Rock Hall, MD. In addition she is survived by a sister, Eleanor Connolly of Chestertown, MD, brother, William Schauber of Dover, DE, sister, Betty Glenn of Chestertown, MD, sister, Kathryn Gannon of Church Hill, MD, eight grandchildren, Sheila Pierce of Rock Hall, MD, Billy Reihl of New York City, Jamie Strong of Chestertown, MD, Sarah Davis of Rock Hall, MD, Tyler Rodney of Stevensville, MD, Buck Jacquette of Rock Hall, MD, Kendall Jacquette of Rock Hall, MD, Gladye Jacquette of Rock Hall, MD, and four great grandchildren, Brody Pierce, Brianna Pierce, Trista Strong, and Taylor Strong. A visitation will be held Thursday, October 7, 2010 from 6-8pm at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home 130 Speer Rd Chestertown, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 8, 2010 at 10am at St. John’s Catholic Church in Rock Hall, MD. Interment will be held in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
