Joseph Woodrow Caccamise

Joseph Woodrow Caccamise, 78, of Easton, and formerly of Edgewater, Maryland, passed away on April 4, 2024, at his home. Born on July 21, 1945, in Washington, DC, he was the beloved son of Dorothy Chicca and the late Alfred Caccamise. Joe brought joy and laughter to those around him with his sense of humor. He departed this world not peacefully but "screaming and yelling", true to his nature as he was always good for a joke. After graduating from Wakefield High School in 1964, Joe bravely served his country as a Platoon Sergeant in the US Army. Following his military service, he went on to own and operate Printers II and Techna Graphics Inc. Joe lived life to the fullest, finding joy in fishing, golfing, sailing, riding his motorcycle, flying as a private pilot, but especially when doing these with friends. His greatest joy, however, was spending time with his grandchildren. A devoted fan of the Washington Capitals since 1974, Joe was proud of their Stanley Cup Championship in 2018. Preceded in death by his father, Alfred Caccamise, uncle Frank Caccamise, and son-in-law Robert Wilkerson, Joe is survived by his 99-year-old mother, Dorothy Caccamise, and his daughters: Kelly Wilkerson of Greensboro, Kacey (Christopher) Smith of Odenton, and Kristie Amritt of Hiram, Georgia. He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter through his ten grandchildren: Katelin Amritt, Samantha and Sarah Smith, Korie Amritt, Jared Amritt, Kenzie Amritt, Alexandra Wilkerson, Abigail Smith, Andrew Smith, and Joshua Wilkerson. In accordance with Joe's wishes, there will be no funeral service. Instead, a celebration of his life will be scheduled for later this summer. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Talbot Hospice or the ASPCA. Joe will be remembered fondly for his zest for life, his generosity, and his ability to bring laughter with a good joke.
