Jackie Judge

On Tuesday, July 12, 2022, members of the Judge family sadly said goodbye to their Mom. At the age of 90, Jackie Judge passed away in the loving care of hospice at the Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, Maryland. Jackie’s long and vibrant life began on June 1, 1932, in St. Louis, MO. Jackie was born to parents William James Graul, Sr., and Anita Dorothy Kimmell Graul (both deceased), and she had two siblings: Dr. William J. Graul “Bill”(deceased) and Marilyn Graul Smith of Eldorado, Illinois. Jackie’s family moved to Lexington, KY, where Jackie attended Lafayette High School and then went on to college at the University of Kentucky where she proudly was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. Eventually, Jackie moved to Maryland where she lived the majority of her life, raising her family and becoming an active member of her community, always reaching out and helping those in need. Jackie will be affectionately remembered by children Kathy Schindler (Ray), Jimmy Judge (Molly), Bill Judge (Kim), Jerry Judge (Patti), Sena Claxton (Craig), Karen Judge, Tom Judge (Pam), and Timmy Judge; her many grandchildren: Chris Schindler, Kara Finch, Kendall, Molly & Mitchell Claxton, Meg Judge, Haydon Judge, Paige J. Moorman, Taylor, Hannah & Samantha Judge, Mackenna Judge, and Melissa Judge, Tommy Judge, and Ali Sommi; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and tons of friends who are saddened by her passing. With such a large and extended family, her family agreed that Jackie’s #1 career was always Mom & MomMom. Jackie loved holidays and always went “100%-all-in” for family gatherings. She made Easter and Christmas special for everyone; tree trimming parties and Easter egg hunts were unmatched when Jackie was in charge. It is certain that many and numerous stories will be told and passed down from generation to generation of Jackie’s love and dedication to her family, and there will be love for a woman who demonstrated genuine unselfish kindness every day. A Celebration of Life Reception will be held from 5 – 9 pm on Thursday, August 4, at the Prospect Bay Country Club in Grasonville, MD. In lieu of flowers, Jackie asked that donations in her name be sent to Radcliffe Creek School Scholarship Fund, 201 Talbot Blvd., Chestertown, MD 21620.
