Garett "Brooks" Daubach

Garett Holbrook Daubach, known fondly as Brooks, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 27, 2020. Brooks’ life began on April 25, 1981, in Baltimore, MD. He attended St. Michaels Elementary, Middle, and High School. After graduating from high school, Brooks began his career at a home improvement store, quickly working his way up the corporate ladder to his current job as a regional sales director for Dahua. Even though he was a bit of a diamond in the rough, Brooks’ ability to read situations, high morals, and his impressive work ethic allowed him to have great success professionally. Brooks was a mentor to many and encouraged everyone he knew to be the best version of themselves. Throughout all the changes in his life, one thing was always a constant – family. Brooks was a true family man, often spending his free time boating, hunting, camping, going to concerts and movies, and helping others. He achieved his favorite title of “Daddy” on November 27, 2002, to his princess, Abbye. Brooks married the love of his life, Amanda, on October 15, 2016. His faithful four-legged companion, Sadie, was an additional bright spot in his life. Brooks was known for his decorum, random acts of kindness and generosity, intense meme battles, quick comebacks, and most importantly, his protective nature of family, friends, and even people that he had just met. Not many things in life were bigger than Brooks, but his heart definitely was. Brooks lent a helping hand whenever it was needed, often before assistance was requested. He was an avid Ravens fan, professional hug giver, and inspired competitive sushi eater. In addition to his wife and daughter, Brooks is survived by his mother and father, Robin and Bryan; his grandmother, Sylvia; his brother, Wayne (Christine); his sister, Ashleigh (Andrew); his favorite nephews, Ethan and Colin; and countless aunts, uncles, and cousins. Brooks was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Elizabeth and Jerry Meyers, and his paternal grandfather, Herb Daubach. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 8, from 2:00 – 5:00 PM, at Easton Fire Department, 315 Leonard Rieck Drive, Easton, Maryland 21601. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Brooks’ name to the Caroline County Humane Society, 407 Belle Road, Ridgely, Maryland 21660.
