Frances T. Howell

Frances Taylor Howell of Easton, MD passed peacefully from this world on Sunday, February 12, 2006 surrounded by family and friends. Born April 9, 1923 in Easton, MD, she was the daughter of the late William Norman and Catherine “Kate” Taylor. Frances had three great loves: her family, the Church, and work. She graduated from Easton High School and worked for Memorial Hospital for several years. She and her husband moved to Wilmington, DE where she worked as an Administrative Assistant for the State of Delaware Youth Services Commission (Ferris School). They returned to Easton in 1979 and spent the next several years restoring their current residence. She had a passion for house decorating as attested by her home. Upon her return she also became a realtor and worked for various agencies in Easton. She loved her work and consistently went above and beyond her duties for her clients. She maintained her Realtors License until her death. In addition to John Howell, her husband of 61 years, Frances is survived by her daughter, Patricia Rasmussen and her husband David of Hopkinton, MA; three grandchildren, Andrea Rasmussen of Manhattan, NY, Christopher Rasmussen of Providence, RI, and Mary Patricia Rasmussen of Brookline, MA. She is also survived by her sister, Margaret Mullikin and her children Kay Duehrssen and her husband Ray of Easton, MD, Donna Kachura of Edgewater, MD, and Robert Mullikin and his wife Robin of Wittman, MD; the children of her late brother Thomas Morris Taylor, Carol Bonner and her husband Dan of Essex, MD, Norman Taylor of Ashburn, VA and Janice Galt and her husband Dwight of Silver Spring, MD; and grand nephews and nieces, Matthew Kachura, Daniel Kachura, Joshua Kachura, Kate Mullikin, Rob Mullikin, Anne Marie Mullikin, Katie Bonner, Annie Bonner, Angela Galt, Teri Galt, Thomas Galt, and Dwight Galt. In addition to her brother she was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Clague and Jean Lord. A Funeral Liturgy for Mrs. Howell will be celebrated on Thursday, February 16, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Easton, MD. Friends may call on Wednesday, February 15, 2006 from 4 to 7 PM at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, P. A., Easton, MD. Entombment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church Building Fund, 7906 Ocean Gateway, Easton, MD 21601.
