Ruby H. Johnson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ruby H. Johnson passed away peacefully on June 29, 2022, at the age of 95. She was born the daughter of Ollie S. (Turner) and Henry L. Hallman Sr. on May 4, 1927 in Salisbury, NC. Ruby was one of seven children and a longtime resident of Annandale, VA. Upon graduating high school in 1945, joining many thousands of other young women, Ruby went to Washington DC to seek her fortune. Ruby worked in a number of Federal Government administrative positions, including many years with the U.S. Commerce department. Following WWII, Ruby accepted a very special government assignment based in Guam as part of the allied Pacific rebuilding efforts. Ruby was a warm, caring individual who lived a long and healthy life. She loved her crossword puzzles, TV ministries and staying in touch with family members. She is predeceased by her beloved husband William (Bill) Johnson and her six siblings: Elva Kepley, Virginia Trainor, Henry L. Hallman Jr., Paul Hallman, Ralph Hallman and Rachel Clark. She leaves a large family of relatives including nieces, nephews and in-laws in the greater Washington DC area and across the US. After all these years, our dear “Aunt Ruby” will certainly be missed by all her family, friends and neighbors. All are invited to attend a graveside service at Crumpton Cemetery at 1020 Dudley Corners Rd, Crumpton MD, 21628, on Saturday August 13, 2022, at 10:30am.
