Robert L. Harris

September 28, 1934 - February 12, 2022

Robert L. Harris of Cordova, MD died on February 12th, 2022, at Talbot Hospice. He was 87. Born in Cordova on September 28th, 1934, he was the son of the late Harry C. and Viola Sard Harris. He attended public school in Talbot County. As a teenager he began a lifelong career in carpentry, working with his father until 1960 when he took a position with James Julian, Inc. where he remained until retiring in 1996. During his spare time, he enjoyed doing woodwork in his shop at home, spending time with his grandson and visiting West Virginia. Mr. Harris is survived by his wife, the former Lovie Jane Conley, whom he married June 28th, 1953; a daughter in law, Sharon Greiner of Chester, MD; a grandson, Douglas Greiner and his wife, Andrea; great grandchildren, Quinn and Nolan; and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Dennis James "Pee Wee" Harris who died in 1979, and siblings, Harry C. Harris, Jr., Irene Mayer, Stanley Harris, and Ivan Harris. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 18th at 11am at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, P.A., Easton, MD where friends may call one hour prior to the service, from 10am to 11am.
