Mrs. Rebecca Hepbron Brilz

February 9, 1941 - January 13, 2022

Rebecca Hepbron Brilz passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at the age of 80. She was born on February 9, 1941, in Rock Hall MD. She was the daughter of Archie and Anna Hepbron. She grew up and went to high school in Rock Hall, graduating with the class of 1959. While in school, she was crowned “Miss Rock Hall”. She also met the love of her life, Raymond Brilz, while he was stationed at the Nike base, and she was working Gerity’s Drug Store. They dated for two years before getting married in 1959. They went on to have five children and moved all over the United States as well as Germany. She was a devoted army wife and mother. After 22 years of moving, they returned home to Rock Hall, MD and had a wonderful life full of loving family and friends. Becky was a wonderful baker and seamstress. She enjoyed reading her newspapers and being on Facebook. She enjoyed taking her rides and drinking black coffee to warm her hands every day. She always looked forward to church as a faithful catholic. She is predeceased by her husband, Raymond Brilz (2016); and a son, Ramond W. Brilz II (2015). She is survived by a sister, Rosemary Gagalski of Rock Hall, MD; four children, Katie Brilz of Rock Hall, MD, Helen Brilz Fisher (Bryan) of Painter, VA, Tony Brilz (Tanya) of Chestertown, MD and Laura Brilz (Dinky) of Rock Hall, MD; nine grandchildren, Joseph, Will, Anna, Marty, Chance, Mallory, Mason, Bella and Bennett. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, 130 Speer Road, Chestertown. Services will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 11:00 am at St. John’s Catholic Church in Rock Hall. Interment will be in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, following the service.
