Phillip Harry Marshner Sr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Philip "Phil" Harry Marshner Sr., 78, of Jonesville, VA passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Holston Valley Hospital in Kingsport, TN. Phil was born on January 6, 1944 in Pasadena, MD to the late Francis Henry Marshner and Vesta Rosie Phelps Marshner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his second wife, Marie Denise Marshner. He is survived by his wife, Lecia Fay Coleman Marshner; sons, Philip Harry Marshner, Jr. (Jenna); daughter, Michelle Anthony (Michael); brother, Gene Frank Marshner; sister, Rosalee Vesta Marshner Carlyle; sister-in-law, Sharon Mallet; step-son, Alan David Lambert II (Bobby Kay); and two step-daughters, Melissa Doby (George) and Jennifer Stafford (Floyd). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog, Ralph. Phil was a carpenter who built homes for himself and others. He loved working outside in his yard and kept busy all day long. He served in the U.S. Army from 1966 until 1968. He was stationed in Germany and in Fort Meade, MD. He received the National Defense Service and Good Conduct medals before his honorable discharge. Phil and Lecia loved their dog, Ralph, who Phil loved to spoil. He loved that dog more than any other dog he had. Phil, Lecia and Ralph were always together enjoying life, which he loved so much. A memorial service will be held at the Chapel at Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery on July 29, 2022 at 1pm.
