Pauline Leo Grande

February 27, 1929 - September 13, 2021

Pauline passed peacefully at her assisted living facility with daughter Denise by her side. Loving mother and Grammy to Matthew. Husband Will and grandson Matt will be happy to greet her. Parents Lydia and Alphonse, sister Terry, and sister in-law Annabelle will reunite with her. She is survived by Denise, son-in-law Art, sister Evelyn, brothers Allan and John, along with nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Pauline was the family leader, holding many years of family celebrations, as well as the family social director. Truly adored by all. Pauline was raised in Williston Park and later lived in East Williston. She attended, then taught in the Mineola District schools. Pauline was a beloved and well-respected teacher. She was baptized and attended St. Aidan parish in Williston Park. Pauline and Will retired to Sag Harbor, New York and Siesta Key, Florida. Pauline had excess energy and used it well. She played multiple sports, and involved herself in tutoring and donating time to children. In lieu of flowers, we believe Pauline would appreciate a donation to your favorite children’s cause or, if preferred, a donation to Alzheimer’s research.
