Patricia Ann Mullican James of Stevensville, MD passed away on April 18, 2022. She was 86 years old. Born on August 29, 1935, in Washington, D.C., the daughter of the late Thomas and Minnie Kirby she grew up in Tacoma Park, MD where she attended Blair High School. On May 8, 1955 she would marry Blair “Sonny” Mullican and they would reside in Silver Spring where they had one daughter JoAnn. Patricia was a homemaker until JoAnn was old enough for school. She then worked as a Lunch lady with the Montgomery County Schools. On May 9, 1986, Sonny predeceased her and she would soon move to Kent Island. In 1993 she married Francis Harwood James and they made a home in Stevensville, MD. Patricia continued to work as a lunch lady with Chesapeake College in Wye Mills. She enjoyed painting ceramics, baking, sewing and quilting with her friends. She loved to make people laugh. She was a Life member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 278 and was a founding member of Living Water Lutheran Church. She is survived by her beloved daughter Jo Ann Mullican, her dog Molly, cat Callie and many loving family and friends. In addition to her parents, and first husband, she is predeceased by her second husband, Francis James, and brother, Thomas Lee Kirby, Jr. A visitation will be held on Saturday April 30, 2022 at the Fellows, Helfenebein & Newnam Funeral Home 106 Shamrock Road Chester, MD 21619 from 5PM to 7PM. A funeral service will be held at 2PM with an hour before visitation on Sunday May 1, 2022 at Living Water Lutheran Church in Christ Episcopal Church 830 Romancoke Road Stevensville, MD 21666. A time for fellowship and refreshments will follow the service. Interment will be 10:30AM graveside on Monday May 2, 2022 at Gate of Heaven Cemetery 13801 Georgia Ave Silver Springs, MD 20906. After the interment there will be lunch at The Manor of Silo Falls 19501 Georgia Ave Brookeville, MD 20833.
