Patricia Anne Frey Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Patricia Anne Frey went home to be with her Lord and savior on July 19, 2022. Patricia was born on May 19, 1931 to John T. Ford and Anne (Breheney) Ford of Brooklyn, NY. In her younger days, Patricia traveled extensively. She often took steamships to England, Ireland, and Spain to visit relatives in her parents’ birthplaces. She was even a guest at the Commonwealth Ball in honor of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth in 1957. After graduating from St. Aloysius Business School in Ridgewood, NY, Patricia married the love of her life, United States Air Force veteran John J. Frey Jr., on May 2, 1959. Together they owned and operated John J. Frey & Sons Home Improvement as well as Frey & Frey Enterprises on Long Island, NY. Patricia and John retired to Chestertown in 1997, where they made many friends through their volunteer work and Patricia’s homemade gifts. Patricia volunteered alongside her granddaughter Kristi at Chester River Hospital for an additional 15 years after her retirement. In addition to her late husband, Patricia was preceded in death by her twin brothers Frank and John Ford. She is survived by her two sons, Kevin Frey (Donna) of Chestertown, MD and Brian Frey (Laurie) of Palm Coast, FL; her grandchildren, Kristi, Josh, John Patrick (Marissa), Nicki, and Jamie; her sister, Kathleen Streames of Salt Lake City, UT; as well as numerous cousins. Per Patricia’s wishes, a private ceremony and burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her honor to Fellows, Helfenbein, and Newnam Funeral Home in Chestertown.
